The 14th Annual Los Angeles River Ride is this Sunday! When: Sunday, June 22; 7 a.m. to 5 p.m. Where: start at Autry National Center in Griffith Park or Aquarium of the Pacific in Long Beach LACBC Members save an additional $10. Sign up for membership with registration for $25 Kids 12 and under ride for free. 10 great rides with 2 start locations (Autry or Aquarium of the Pacific in Long Not Registered, But Want to Ride? Pre-registration is now CLOSED! Anyone who wants to participate in the River Ride must register on the day of the ride before riding. Come in between your ride's registration time and ride start time. Save time by filling out this form beforehand. For Pre-Registered Riders - Find more information about the rides and routes here.
- Pick up your wristbands and route cue slips before your ride (come at the registration time listed for your ride).
- If you picked up your wristband at a packet pickup, come to the raffle table with your wristband to receive a raffle ticket and a route cue slip.
- Pre-ordered jerseys will be distributed at the merchandise booth on the day of the ride.
- Remember to bring with you:
- Your helmet (required) and sunscreen.
- An ID and spending money for: lunch, jerseys, and beer purchase.
- Layers! It could be cool in the morning and warm by mid-day.
- The ride officially closes down at 5 p.m. If you want to continue riding after 5 p.m., you may do so but without ride support.

Carrie 2.0 River Ride Fundraising is shaping up to be Tish Vs. Carrie 2.0. Last year, Tish Laemmle held off Carrie Ungerman's fervent charge and narrowly defended her crown to 2-peat. Can she 3-peat this year, or will Carrie get her revenge? Will a dark horse like Trent Whittaker or Zachary Rynew make a late charge? LACBC's Bike Valet Returns to Grand Performances Tomorrow for 3rd Straight Season LACBC has partnered with Grand Performances for the third year in a row to bring you a series of "pedal pushers" performances this summer! From June until September, Grand Performances will be hosting FREE concerts, film screenings, dance performances, etc. at the outdoor California Plaza in Downtown L.A., and we'll be providing complimentary bike valet at several of them! Riding your bike and parking for free to a free show is the perfect way to spend a summer night. Bike Apocalyptic: Join LACBC's Bike Valet at the First-Ever Bike to the Bowl on Sunday for Janelle Monáe The L.A. County Bicycle Coalition (LACBC) and the Hollywood Bowl invite you to gear up for the first-ever "Bike to the Bowl." Janelle Monáe, Seun Kuti & Egypt 80, Roman GianArthur - Sunday, June 22; 7 p.m. Robyn & Röyksopp - Sunday, June 29; 7 p.m. The Hollywood Bowl is located at 2301 N. Highland Ave. in Hollywood. Free Bike Valet: Keep your bike safe during the show with free Bike Valet, courtesy of LACBC, in the Museum Patio on Peppertree Lane at the Hollywood Bowl. LACBC's Bike Valet Returns to Roaring Nights at the L.A. Zoo this Summer The Los Angeles Zoo and Botanical Gardens opens its doors for a series of summer after-hours events for adults to enjoy music, food and fun - and animals! - under the starry skies. Ride your bikes over, as LACBC will be providing complimentary bike valet for the series. "Roaring Nights at the L.A. Zoo" is a summer music series that brings together popular indie bands, favorite L.A. food trucks and full-service bars as well as pop-up zookeeper talks, animal encounters and a DJ dance party. Select animal habitats and exhibits, including the new "Rainforest of the Americas" that features endangered, rare and exotic animals from Mexico, Central and South America, will be open to visitors during these after-hours concert nights. This summer, the Los Angeles Zoo will host three separate Friday night concerts on June 27, July 25 and August 22 each from 7:00 p.m. - 10:00 p.m. The Los Angeles Zoo is located at 5333 Zoo Drive, Griffith Park (map). What's Ringing Our Bike Bells: Experience the L.A. River Family Ride | 13th Annual Los Angeles River Ride | In case you haven't heard, the L.A. River Ride is this Sunday, and we have a ride for you! From seasoned riders riding the 100-mile Century to 4-year-olds participating in the First 5 L.A. Kids' Ride and Fun Fair, there really is a ride for any kind of rider. Check out this video of a family riding last year's 15-mile ride, also known as the Family Ride. And join us this Sunday!

Tour de Laemmle When: Saturday, June 21st; festivities begin at 6 a.m. and run through 7 p.m. Where: Laemmle Theatres throughout L.A. County A bike corral will be installed in front of the Laemmle NoHo 7 this weekend, and to celebrate, our board member Greg Laemmle is leading the Tour de Laemmle, with rides that touch all seven theater locations in the County and free screenings of classic bike films Pee Wee's Big Adventure and Breaking Away. Pico Rivera Bike Festival When: Saturday, June 21; 9:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. Where: Student Services parking lot - 9426 Marjorie Street, Pico Rivera The City of Pico Rivera will kick off summer with a community-wide Bike Safety Festival for children of all ages. The free festival will include bike skills courses, helmet fitting, bike maintenance, group bike rides, and bike crafts. A limited number of loaner bikes and helmets - under 20 - will be available, so residents are encouraged to bring their own. Helmets are required for children to participate in on-bike activities.
