In summer of 2011, we hosted Fan Ho's exhibition, A Hong Kong Memoir. During the exhibition, Mr. Ho selected key images to be printed much larger than he was able to print in his darkroom. His iconic image, Approaching Shadow, was one of the images selected for this edition, and now is almost sold out!

Modern book Gallery is excited to announce that we have partnered with APA San Francisco for their third annual Curator's Voice exhibition. This year's theme will be, Approaching the Unreal. Gallery Director, Bryan Yedinak and Gallery Manager, Danny Sanchez, will curate and then exhibit a selection of images at Modern book Gallery. This call for entries will run through June 25. We are asking artists to submit images that are more narrative based with a touch of whimsy or surreal situations. Maia's Sleep Elevations are whimsy images of girls in various states of sleep. Their adventures from the real world into dreamland vary from high above the streets of Paris or just above the soothing sounds of the ocean. (above) Brothers in Arms by Kristina Varaksina.
Kristina's Mystery of the Female explores human psychology by telling stories and creating imaginary worlds. Creative lighting and play of the colors are the key elements of her work. (above) a collection of images from Maia's, Sleep Elevation series.
