Greetings friends,

We are excited to share with you that Modernbook Gallery has teamed up with NEMA (New Market) to create ARTWAY! ARTWAY is an exciting place located in the NEMA residency that will have rotating exhibitions curated by Modernbook Gallery. Currently, on the walls is work by Jamie Baldridge. To celebrate the collaboration, NEMA and Modernbook Gallery will be hosting a reception on Saturday, June 21, 11am-1pm.  On hand we will have copies of Jame's book, Almost Fiction, and other complementary books. Please join us for the celebration!

Speaking of books, up to 40% off our regular edition and limited edition box sets!

Before we go, we want to remind you that we are in the final days of our call for entries, Approaching the Unreal! This exhibition is in collaboration with APA San Francisco. We are asking artists to submit images that are more narrative based with a touch of whimsy or surreal situations. Great examples by Modernbook Gallery artist are Tom Chambers, Jamie Baldridge, Maia Flore and Kristina Varaksina. The call for entries will end on June 25th.

Kind regards,

Mark, Bryan, Danny, & Clara

Approaching the end of the edition.

In summer of 2011, we hosted Fan Ho's exhibition, A Hong Kong Memoir. During the exhibition, Mr. Ho selected key images to be printed much larger than he was able to print in his darkroom.

His iconic image, Approaching Shadow, was one of the images selected for this edition, and now is almost sold out!

Approaching Shadow image size measures approximately 23.5 x 28 inches. Do not miss your opportunity to own a key image from Fan Ho's body of work
