For our August exhibition, Modernbook Gallery will have a selection of photographs by Frank De Mulder on view. De Mulder's photographs shows the delicate sensual world of women-from fragile and emotional to flamboyant and erotic-always at the highest level of beauty.
Through his brilliant eye for light, composition, and his patience for the 'decisive moment,' Mr. Ho created striking images that continue to resonate through the decades. Fan Ho: A Hong Kong Memoir revisits this lost era with a combination of never before seen images and introduces new-montaged photographs.

Now in ARTWAY, Modernbook Gallery presents the work of Maia Flore and Kristina Varaksina! This two woman exhibition will be on view through October 28, 2014.
Kristina Varaksina's work start at the North tower part of ARTWAY. Kristina's Mystery of the Female explores human psychology by telling stories and creating imaginary worlds. Creative lighting and play of the colors are the key elements of her work.
Images from Maia Flore's series, Sleep Elevations begin at the south tower. Maia's Sleep Elevations are whimsy images of girls in various states of sleep. Their adventures from the real world into dreamland vary from high above the streets of Paris or just above the soothing sounds of the ocean.
NEMA is located at 10th and Market Street and easily accessible by Muni. If you are in the neighborhood feel feel to drop in and see the exhibition space!
