Greetings friends,

June is a great time of year! To celebrate we are taking up to 40% off a selection of our books and limited edition box sets! If you stop by the gallery we can extend complimentary gift wrap for Dads and grads.

For our friends who will be flying out of SFO this summer be sure to catch Fan Ho's exhibition talking place at the SFO Museum. The exhibition will highlight a selection of images from Fan Ho's Hong Kong Yesterday series. Images will be on view through August 2014.

Before we go, we want to remind you that we are accepting entries for our upcoming exhibition in September, Approaching the Unreal! This exhibition is in collaboration with APA San Francisco. We are asking artists to submit images that are more narrative based with a touch of whimsy or surreal situations. Great examples by Modernbook Gallery artist are Tom Chambers, Jamie Baldridge, Maia Flore and Kristina Varaksina. The call for entries will end on June 25th.

Maia's Sleep Elevations are whimsy images of girls in various states of sleep. Their adventures from the real world into dreamland vary from high above the streets of Paris or just above the soothing sounds of the ocean.

Kristina's Mystery of the Female explores human psychology by telling stories and creating imaginary worlds. Creative lighting and play of the colors are the key elements of her work.

Modernbook Gallery is excited to announce that we have partnered with APA San Francisco for their third annual Curator's Voice exhibition.

This year's theme will be, Approaching the Unreal. Gallery Director, Bryan Yedinak and Gallery Manager, Danny Sanchez, will curate and then exhibit a selection of images at Modernbook Gallery. This call for entries will run through June 25.

We are asking artists to submit images that are more narrative based with a touch of whimsy or surreal situations. Great examples by Modernbook Gallery artist are Tom Chambers, Jamie Baldridge, Maia Flore and Kristina Varaksina. The call for entries will end on June 25th.

The exhibition,Approaching the Unreal, will take place September 4 through September 27, 2014.
