Last Chance to Register: Homes & Jobs Act (SB 391) Orientation & Training

California Homes and Jobs Act (SB 391) campaign training and orientation - Thursday, June 20, 2013

Legislation (the California Homes and Job Act - SB 391) to secure a permanent source of funding for housing affordable to low-income seniors, veterans, working families and the disabled faces crucial hurdles in the State Assembly next month. We have just a few weeks to show legislators how important it is to their constituents to pass this bill. Join us for a training and orientation for you and your staff in a 'postcard' campaign for SB 391 on Thursday, June 20th from 12-3 PM at SCANPH, First Floor Conference Room, 501 Shatto Place, Los Angeles, CA. Link here to the required registration.

Please make the time to attend and learn:

How will SB 391 bring millions of dollars and thousands of jobs into your communities?
How will SB 391 provide thousands of beautiful, affordable, well-managed homes?
* What's our regional campaign strategy?
* How can you make an important contribution to the passage of SB 391.

In last year's push to pass SB 1220, many legislators mentioned how impactful the postcards had been - so we would like to learn from that postcard effort and expand it.

Join fellow advocates, SCANPH staff, and Caroline Epps, Director of Policy and Partnerships from LifeSTEPS, and Mark Tousignant, Senior Program Director, from Enterprise Community Partners at SCANPH, First Floor Conference Room, 501 Shatto Place, Los Angeles, CA. 90020 (map). Parking is available in the building for $10 (flat rate).

Important! You must register here. SCANPH will be providing lunch and we need a count of how many attendees to prepare for.
