After conducting an extensive search, the Board of Directors of Southern California Association of Non-Profit Housing (SCANPH) is pleased to announce the appointment of Alan Greenlee as Executive Director effective October 22, 2012.
As Executive Director, Mr. Greenlee will be responsible for the day to day operation of the organization and together with the Board of Directors and the organization's membership, will provide organizational leadership. SCANPH's mission is to create affordable housing opportunities for low-income people by expanding the knowledge, capacity and influence of the nonprofit development sector serving Los Angeles, Orange, Ventura, Riverside and San Bernardino Counties. Its two major areas of focus are influencing public policy to build support for affordable housing financing and development and providing the latest education and research to its members about best practices in affordable housing development.
Before joining SCANPH, Mr. Greenlee held senior management positions at One Economy, a global non-profit organization that leverages the power of technology and connects underserved people around the world to vital information that will improve their lives, and the Enterprise Foundation, an organization founded by developer James Rouse to improve the lives of low income families through affordable housing. Alan also served as Legislative Representative for the American Bankers Association in Washington DC and is a former staff member to the US Senate Committee on Finance. He is a co-founder of Solar Network Solutions which provides data management solutions for the solar industry.
With more than twenty years experience in policy development, operations management, and raising capital and foundation support, Alan brings the leadership and experience to guide SCANPH through a pivotal time of change in the field of affordable housing and the community development movement. Most importantly, he brings a deep commitment to improving the lives of low income families, seniors, the disabled and those that are homeless.
Alan graduated from the University of Texas at Austin with a Bachelor of Arts in Government.
