Hello friends of Modernbook! Thank you to all who were able to join us for the First Thursday Art Walk! Ryan Bush's exhibition, Multiple Visions, will be on view through October 27. Also, Ryan will be back in the gallery for First Thursday in October, and October 20th, for an artist talk, 2-4pm. During September 28-30, Modern book Gallery will be in Southern California to participate in Art Platform - Los Angeles art fair! Art Platform supplied us with a limited supply of tickets. Above is a quick video showcasing Ryan's exhibition. Our fall exhibition includes 24 of Ryan's images from both his new Multiple Visions series and from his black & white Memoria series.
Multiple Visions refers not just to the multiple ways there are of seeing, but also to the technique of multiple exposures that Ryan uses to create the photographs. Each photograph is created by combining multiple exposures together in the camera, rather than in Photoshop. This spontaneous process is full of surprises and serendipity, just like our dreams and imagination. Exhibition September 6-October 27, 2012
