Party Volunteer!
The big day is almost here, Thursday, May 10. Thanks so much for making this party possible by volunteering. Volunteers like you make the San Francisco Bicycle Coalition great.
The Bike From Work Party is at Public Works, 161 Erie Street (near Mission & 14th) Bicycle Valet begins at 5pm at the far end of Erie Street.
Below is information about what to expect so you are prepared to have a successful and rewarding Bike From Work Party volunteer shift. If you have additional questions or concerns, let me know.

Volunteer Information
Thursday, May 10, Shifts from 5-10:30, Party from 6-9pm
The venue is 21+ so make sure you bring your valid ID with you!
All Volunteers checking in at 5pm should let Tessa know you've arrived and get instructions. All volunteers arriving after 6pm should check-in as a volunteer at the Door, then report to your Station. There is a $2 coat check at the venue.
Set-Up 5-6:15pm: Check-in at 5pm at Public Works with Tessa.

9-10pm Clean Up
Party down after work at the SF Bicycle Coalition's big Bike to Work Day celebration with DJs, fabulous raffle prizes, a photobooth, Whole Foods tasting stations and complimentary bicycle valet. Members can attend the event for $5 while non-members can join for $35 and get in free, or pay a $10 cover. We will be providing complimentary bike valet, selling raffle tickets for prizes from our sponsors (which of course benefits the work of the SF Bicycle Coalition) and selling SF Bicycle Coalition merch. The venue is 21+ so make sure you bring your valid ID with you. We cannot vouch for you - sorry!
Volunteer Attire Volunteers are encouraged to dress up festively, wear your orange volunteer t-shirt or a SF Bicycle Coalition t-shirt
Volunteer Tasks
* Decorators/Set-Up:
o Hang SFBC Banners on Balcony, at Door, behind stage (make sure it is a nice banner)
o Set-up Merch table
o Set-up Door table (do this last)
o Hang SFBC banner on stage
* Door (this is out in front of the venue so please dress appropriately as it may be cold):
o Assist with
volunteer check-in
o Check member's cards to be sure they are current and charge $5 entry
o Encourage nonmembers to join ($35) or collect $10 entry fee (Goal: 30 memberships total)
o Keep entry fee separate from membership donations
o Pack up supplies at 9pm into bins
o Give door $$ to Abbey
o SFBC Merchandise (T-shirts, Hoodies, etc)
o Sell SF Bicycle Coalition merch
o Answer questions about SF Bicycle Coalition
o Keep merchandise table organized and neat
o Pack up supplies at 9:30pm into bins
o Give merchandise $$ to Abbey
* Raffle:
o Familiarize yourself with the prizes
o Move throughout venue encouraging people to win great prizes and support the SF Bicycle Coalition (goal: sell 35 raffle tickets each)
o Drop off completed raffle tickets with Renee, Raffle Lead
o Return supplies and $$ to Renee at the end of your shift
* Clean-Up:
o Gather at Merch table at 9pm and get clean up checklist
o Breakdown Door table and pack up supplies at 9pm
