Short Notice: Please make the time - SB 1220 launch and orientation - this Tuesday, April 3, 2012!
Legislation (the Housing Opportunity and Market Stabilization Act - SB 1220) to secure a permanent source of funding for housing affordable to low-income seniors, veterans, working families and the disabled faces 3 crucial hurdles in the State Senate next month. We have 3 weeks to show legislators how important it is to pass this bill. This "April blitz" will be launched next Tuesday, April 3rd from 2-4 PM at United Way of Greater Los Angeles, 4th Floor Conference Room. Link here to the required registration. Although this is very short notice, please make the time to attend and learn:
* How much funding will result from SB 1220?
* Where will the money come from?
* What's our legislative strategy?
* Who opposes the bill?
* How you can make an important contribution to the passage of SB 1220.
Join fellow advocates and Shawn Rowland, Housing California's campaign organizer at the United Way of Greater Los Angeles, 4th Floor Conference Room, 1150 S. Olive Street, Los Angeles, CA. 90015 (map) Important! You must register here by the end of business, Monday April 2nd because building security requires pre-registration for entrance to the meeting location. |
