Ever since opening the gallery we've been privileged to represent a group of talented and accomplished photographers. Many of them have received recognition for their work beyond the doors of Corden|Potts Gallery. And, though we haven't always had the time to let you know about all the honors they've received, we try to do so from time to time.

So now we'd like to pass along the good news about one of these artists whose work we've represented since the early days of the gallery: Ron Moultrie Saunders.

Ron has received some prestigious commissions and residencies at the same time he continues to exhibit his work. Here are just a few samples of what he's accomplished recently:

He'll be creating work for the San Francisco Public Utilities Commissions' new Southeast Community Facility. Earlier the Commission purchased some of Ron's work for it's new, state-of-the-art headquarters. The San Francisco Arts Commission selected his work for the Bayview Branch of the San Francisco Public Library, which opened last year.

Ron will be artist-in-residence at STAR (Shipyard Trust for the Arts) at the Hunter's Point Shipyard through the end of this year. He's also finishing up a residency at RayKo Photo Center, which will have an exhibit of his work opening on June 25.

He had a solo show at the San Francisco International Airport and had work included in RayKo's 7th Annual International Plastic Camera Show juried by Ann Jastrab. His current or upcoming shows include Art of the Digital curated by Fran Valesco at City College of San Francisco (through May 14) and The Best of Botanicals at Photo in Oakland, which will run from May 22 through July 12.

Finally, we have a wonderful diptych, Pincushions from the series The Secret Life of Plants, on view in The Alcove at the gallery and much more work in our flat files, which we'll be more than happy to show you. So please stop in to check out Ron's wonderful work.
