Register here Join us for our April 2014 Webinar, "The California LifeLine and California Teleconnect Fund." The California Teleconnect Fund (CTF) is a state program administered by the California Public Utilities Commission (CPUC). The purpose of the program is to bridge the digital divide by financially facilitating access to more advanced telecommunications infrastructure within California. Implementation includes providing a 50% discount to eligible organizations on internet access services. The California LifeLine Program (CLL) provides discounted basic home phone service to qualified households. The California LifeLine discounts help consumers lower the cost of their home phone bills. Consumers can get unlimited local calls for less than $7 a month. There is also no charge for deposits or toll-blocking. The discounted rate for connection fees is $10. Installment payment plans are also available. CTF is an important strategy for fostering the development of a state-of-the-art telecommunications infrastructure for California and reducing the digital divide and is targeted to nonprofit organizations. CLL provides low income consumers in California discounted phone services (qualified households) and is targeted to low income residents in California. This free public session will offer information on both programs, as well as eligibility criteria and information on the application process. Online on Tuesday, April 15 at 12:00 PM Noon (PST).
