A searchable preliminary program with an agenda of sessions, plenary speakers, and specialty group meetings has been posted to the AAG Annual Meeting website. The program can be browsed by presenter, keyword, title, or specialty group. Attendees and participants may also view sessions by day using the calendar of events.

PAST PRESIDENT'S ADDRESS

Eric Sheppard on Thinking Geographically

 

AAG Past President Eric Sheppard will deliver his address, "Thinking Geographically: Globalizing Capitalism, and Beyond," on Thursday, April 10, 2014, at the AAG Annual Meeting in Tampa, Fla. "In the spirit of strengthening our intellectual foundations and clarifying our contributions to shaping Earth I advocate for thinking geographically, as a way of being in the world that all can join, rather than policing the boundaries of a discipline called Geography," he writes.

Doreen Massey to Receive AAG Presidential Achievement Award


Following the AAG Past President's Address on April 10, Doreen Massey will be presented with the 2013 Presidential Achievement Award. Earlier that day, Massey will participate in a session on the Kilburn Manifesto, "Environment and Planning A Forum: After Neoliberalism? The Kilburn Manifesto." She has interests in the theorization of space and place and in demonstrating the importance to both everyday life and wider politics of how we conceptualize both space and place.

Advance registration is still open and there is still time to join your friends and colleagues at the AAG Awards Luncheon.
