November 6th - December 15, 2013 | Reception: Thursday, November 7th, 5:30PM - 7:30PM | | Toomey Tourell Fine Art is pleased to present a solo exhibition of drawings by the artist Nathaniel Price. This is Price's third exhibition with Toomey Tourell. In this show, Price pushes the medium of drawing into new territory with a wide variety of techniques and materials that include As Built Drawings, in which a life size body composed of anatomical terms, in silhouette form, dissolves, and is transformed. And Drawn, where the drawing is literally scraped out onto the streets of the city, as a continuous line drawn from a massive block of chalk that initially is the size of the artists body, but slowly wears down over hours. |
