| NEWS & ACCOLADES AUTUMN 2013 | 
                        |  The Illuminated Library
     at the Fine Arts Gallery at S.F. State University     Matthew Picton & Brian Dettmer    have been included in this wide-ranging exhibit which presents both contemporary and historic explorations of the book form, and the relationship of text and image, including rare illustrated manuscripts borrowed from the Sutro Library and the Special Collections of SF State's J. Paul Leonard Library.  If you live in the Bay Area, this is an exhibit not to be missed.

       Press and accolades continue to pour in for Brian Dettmer.   He was recently included  Rebound:  Dissections and Excavations in Book Art, the Halsey institute of Contemporary Art's exhibition which brought together five mixed media artists from around the world, who use books as a point of departure for their compositions.
