NEWS & UPDATES Tell the City Potrero Avenue Needs Better Bikeways For the past few months, the City’s Potrero Corridor Complete Streets Project has slowly been advancing, with substantial changes promised between 17th and 25th Streets. Our advocacy was recently decisive in saving the existing bike lanes, but your voice is now crucial in making sure the bike infrastructure is meaningfully upgraded. Take a few minutes to fill out the official survey today. In the list of street improvements you’d like to see on Potrero, there is no mention of separated bikeways. So we need you to do a good-old-fashioned write in campaign. In Question 10, please write in your request for “Green Separated Bikeways". Share this survey with your friends and family before the August 15 deadline and help us make Potrero the safe bike route it deserves to be. Adaptive Cycling Event on August 18 In June, the SF Bicycle Coalition and a broad coalition of City agencies and community groups put on an Adaptive Cycling Event for people with physical disabilities to ride different adaptive bicycles at Sunday Streets. And on this Sunday, we’re holding another adaptive cycling event, this time an on-the-road group bike ride of San Francisco. If you or someone you know has a physical disability, we invite you to join the SF Bicycle Coalition, BORP and the Independent Living Resource Center for this fun ride through the city. Riders can join us for the 2 to 5 mile long route and share an experience of what it's like to ride on protected bikeways, bike lanes, shared streets and mixed-use paths. We’ll explore much of SF’s waterfront by bike. The ride starts at City Hall Polk Street steps at 11AM and then joins in for some Sunday Streets Tenderloin fun at 2PM. RSVP for this ride at sfbike.org/accessibility

Take a look for yourself, and hear from locals about what it's like to bike such an iconic bicycling city.
