Jared Diamond and Charles Mann will speak on their most recent books in a special session at the AAG Annual Meeting in Los Angeles at 6:45 p.m. on Wednesday, April 10, 2013. This session is hosted by the AAG and its new publication,
The AAG Review of Books. Both authors will be available to answer audience questions and sign books following their presentations. Read more.

Past attendees know that field trips are a fun and informative way to explore the rich physical and cultural geography of Los Angeles and the surrounding region. Trips will cover topics such as transit-oriented development with an emphasis on L.A.'s rail transit lines, activist geographies of the Los Angeles port and goods movement complex, and Temecula's viticulture. Other field trips include visits to locations such as Mt. Hollywood, Chinatown and the Arroyo Seco.

The AAG Annual Meeting is an interdisciplinary forum open to anyone with an interest in geography and related disciplines. All scholars, researchers, and students are welcome to attend.
