| We hope you'll join us for, Medic, a book signing and exhibit of the work of conceptual photographer, Jennifer B. Hudson. Jennifer was awarded the Critical Mass Book Award in 2012 and the resulting book, Medic, was published this January. The book signing will take place on Thursday, March 7, from 5:30 to 7:30 pm. The exhibit will run through March 30. Corden|Potts Gallery is located at 49 Geary Street, Suite 410, in San Francisco. Gallery hours are Tuesdays through Saturdays, 11 am to 5:30 pm and until 7:30 pm on the first Thursday of the month. Jennifer's Medic series, an exploration of illness and recovery, uses staged imagery that is both artistically stylized and meticulously crafted. Drawing inspirations from themes of faith and the intricacy of personal relationships, she is a dynamic and emotional illustrator of the human heart. She has used her upbringing in rural Texas in her intensely personal artwork to bring insight and awareness using heartfelt, acutely mapped personal experiences. Jennifer has shown her work in solo and group exhibits around the country and internationally. Most recently Jennifer has had exhibits in Victoria, BC, San Diego, Philadelphia, Boston and New York City. She also teaches and offers workshops around the country.
