So Isa has decided that from now through the end of the year, she will donate 20 percent of any income derived from sales of gelatin silver prints from her Thrills & Chills series to Rebuilding Together and to Architecture for Humanity's Restore the Shore Fund. The gallery will match that donation, so 40 percent of all Thrills & Chills print sale proceeds between now and December 31 will go to these organizations. "The main reason why I chose these two organizations is that they are focused on rebuilding affected communities," Isa said. "Although the emergency response work that's currently underway is crucial, I think it's equally important to help communities rebuild after a disaster. Months and even years after the media attention given to Sandy has faded, the need will still be great. Both organizations also have high scores on Charity Navigator, which was part of my criteria for selecting organizations to support." We, of course, hope that you'll consider purchasing one of Isa's prints before the end of the year, but realize not everyone is able to make such a purchase. So, we hope that if you can't purchase a print, you'll consider supporting one of these worthy organizations directly. By the way, you can view all of Isa's Thrills & Chills images on our website. And for additional information on the two charities that will benefit from Thrills & Chills sales you can click through on their names, above. Thank you. Liz and Jan |
