"Emerging Asias" at the Los Angeles AAG Annual Meeting

 

AAG President Eric Sheppard's plenary at the AAG Annual Meeting will take up the question of "Emerging Asias," acknowledging Los Angeles' and California's location on the Pacific Rim and their increasing interconnections with Asia. Emerging Asias is one of several featured themes to help focus discussion and provide a fresh and engaging structure to the conference. The presidential panel session will anchor this track. Attendees are also encouraged to develop timely, relevant themes. Learn more

Each year, the AAG identifies a few themes for its Annual Meeting to help focus discussion and provide a fresh and engaging structure to the conference program. Attendees are also invited to develop themes relevant to the meeting's location or influenced by political and intellectual trends within the discipline. Current themes include:

  • October 24 - Abstract Deadline

About the AAG Annual Meeting

 

The weeklong conference is expected to host more than 8,000 geographers from around the world and feature over 4,000 presentations, posters, workshops, and field trips by leading scholars and researchers. The AAG Annual Meeting is an interdisciplinary forum open to anyone with an interest in geography and related disciplines.
