The San Francisco Bicycle Coalitions 20th Annual Golden Wheel Awards is the place to be to rub elbows with your city's political decision-makers and community leaders, and to celebrate the people and organizations improving your neighborhood and your ride.

This year, we are honored to have Gil Peñalosa, Executive Director of 8-80 Cities, as our keynote speaker. Nearly 20 years ago, Mr. Peñalosa expanded the Ciclovia open streets program in Bogota, Columbia; now more than two million people enjoy over 74 miles of car-free streets every week! Sound familiar? Ciclovia is our inspiration for San Francisco's Sunday Streets.

As a respected urban visionary and passionate speaker, Gil Peñalosa will surely inspire you with his ideas on how creating more open space and better biking and pedestrian projects can improve the quality of life for all San Franciscans.

Location: Green Room in the War Memorial Building

Tickets: $75 individual tickets or sponsorships begin at $250. All ticket proceeds go to further support our work in making our streets safer for you and your loved ones.

Tickets include complimentary wine, beer, hors d'oevres and valet bicycle parking.

This mid-year fundraiser is an important event to fuel our work to make bicycling in San Francisco safe and inviting for people ages 8-to-80. Through fun and inspiring events like the Golden Wheel Awards -- and generous members like you -- our organization has the resources needed to make great changes to our streets and help the City prioritize better biking.
