The Southern California Association of NonProfit Housing (SCANPH) creates affordable housing opportunities for low-income people by expanding the knowledge, capacity and influence of the nonprofit development sector. Here are a few good reasons to join SCANPH today:
1. Network with Nonprofit Professionals - Joining SCANPH puts you in touch with hundreds of professionals who work in affordable home development, management and finance. Members receive twice-monthly e-news about current issues, access to our membership and resources directory, and special discounts for networking events, workshops, and conferences.
2. Develop Your Affordable Housing Expertise - SCANPH coordinates workshops, forums and advisory groups throughout the year. Our professional development activities deliver up-to-date information on real estate finance, community relations, green building, environmentally responsible management and other high priority topics.
3. Expand Housing Choices for Low-Income Families - SCANPH creates affordable housing opportunities for low-income people by expanding the knowledge, capacity and influence of nonprofit developers. We increase the capacity and expertise of our members, educate policymakers and the public about the need for affordable homes, and help establish policies and programs that build housing affordable to low-income households.
We approach the 2012 with optimism, hoping for a more predictable environment. But experience tells us that there are more difficult times ahead. Our highest priority is to keep you informed and to strengthen the voice of community development at the federal, state and regional levels.
Our policy forums, workshops and annual conference will be opportunities for policy discussion, skills training, and connecting with colleagues. However, our ability to represent your interests depends on your financial support and participation in our calls to action.
Much of the good work we do our budget depends on annual membership fees. Members receive special emails, access to restricted parts of our web site, and discounts to all SCANPH activities. Our member corporations, public agencies and individuals serve the formerly homeless, disabled, seniors on fixed-incomes, and the working poor throughout Southern California. |
