About the Meeting
Designer of 9/11 Memorial to Speak at AAG Annual Meeting

9/11 MemorialMichael Arad, the architect who won the international competition to design the 9/11 Memorial at the World Trade Center site, will speak at the AAG Annual Meeting in New York. His lecture, "Building the National 9/11 Memorial: A Site of Memory and Remembrance," will be on Feb. 27 at 6:30 p.m. Learn more.

Symposium Examines Practice, Method of Qualitative GIS

A special symposium at the AAG Annual Meeting will examine Qualitative GIS as both a practice and method. The ontological, epistemological and methodological challenges in conducting geographical research with Qualitative GIS will also be addressed throughout the series of eight sessions. Attendees will have the opportunity to develop international networks with like-minded researchers for collaboration. Learn more.
