Dear Kevin,

Do you ride your bicycle on Polk Street or JFK Drive? Have you experienced the joy that is Sunday Streets? Do you look forward to Bike to Work Day every year? Then I've got the volunteer roles for you!

Fend off March's lion-like entrance with a warm heart full of bicycle do-goodery. There are oodles of ways to get involved and your few hours of volunteer time move the wheels of change forward, directly contributing to a better ride for you and loved ones.

Add your voice to Polk Street:
This Thursday, Mar. 1 | 5-7pm | Polk St
Help gain support and energize people for the exciting vision of a safer smoother Polk Street as you pump up the flat tires of your fellow bicycle riders at this fun Service Station.

Celebrate JFK Drive & move Fell & Oak forward:
Sun., Mar. 25 | 1-3pm | JFK Drive
Celebrate a win for safe comfortable bicycling in Golden Gate Park with the construction of a safe separated bikeway on JFK Drive, and talk to neighbors and people riding bicycles about why the city needs to prioritize safety and implement bikeways on the three blocks of Fell and Oak Streets this year.

Enjoy the fun of Bike to School Day
Thu., Apr. 12 | all over the city!
Remember the joy and independence of biking or walking to school when you were younger? You can share that joy with the next generation when you sign up to volunteer at your favorite school.

Share your bike love at Sunday Streets: Spend some time at one of the hottest spots at Sunday Streets - the SF Bicycle Coalition tent - and talk to happy participants about why you're a member. Bicycle Ambassador shifts are 10:30am-1:45pm or 1:15-4:30pm, so you can volunteer and still have time to play in the street!
Sun., Mar. 11 | Embarcadero
Sun., Apr. 15 | Great Highway & new route through Golden Gate Park
Sun., May. 6 | Mission

Bike to Work Day:
Bike to Work Day 2012 is Thursday, May 10th, with 27 Energizer Stations all over the city with snacks, coffee, stickers, membership perks and Bike to Work Day bags galore. Head over to the volunteer sign up page and lay claim to your favorite volunteer spot.

Replenish your Ambassador knowledge: Connecting the City is moving forward, beginning with the separated bikeway on JFK Drive, and now is the perfect time to refresh your Bicycle Ambassador skills. Learn the latest SF Bicycle Coalition projects and talking points so you can roll into spring volunteering in the know! Save the date for these upcoming trainings:
Tue., Mar. 13 | 7:30-8:30pm | SF Bicycle Coalition HQ, 833 Market St, 10th Floor
Thu., Apr. 5 | 6:30-7:30pm | SF Bicycle Coalition HQ, 833 Market St, 10th Floor

Will March go out like a lamb, leaving us fantastic weather in which to enjoy the fruits of your volunteer time? I think we can make that happen!

Thank you in advance for volunteering as a Bicycle Ambassador. You keep the SF Bicycle Coalition's bicycle advocacy rolling forward.

Thank you for all you do,

Tessa
