 | | The Brooklyn Bridge, seen from Manhattan, New York City |
Join Captain John Doswell, executive director of the Working Harbor Committee, for a two-hour sail to trace Brooklyn's industrial history and recent development. The trip begins just north of the Brooklyn Navy Yard and proceeds south to see the renovated warehouses of DUMBO, the new Brooklyn Bridge Park, and the still working waterfront areas of Red Hook and Sunset Park. The emphasis of the trip will be on the industrial history of Brooklyn's waterfront and the ways in which it is, and might continue to be, a working waterfront. The boat is wheelchair accessible.
